Acne Treatment for Teenagers

Puberty is a natural process and brings about the most rapid and significant changes in the body.
This stage marks the development of secondary sexual characteristics, including overactive sebaceous glands, abnormal hair growth, disruptions in keratin production, and changes caused by microorganisms.

Should you visit a beautician or a dermatologist?
That’s a tough decision — but we recommend consulting a beautician first.
A dermatologist should only be your next step if the inflammation becomes so severe that it requires medication. If you wait until that point, you’re already late in addressing the issue.

The goal of cosmetic acne treatment is to remove blackheads and reduce the processes triggered by acne, such as inflammation, excessive oil production, rough skin texture, and oily skin.

It’s important to choose a cosmetician with proper expertise and experience. As soon as blackheads appear, turn to a professional for a proper facial cleansing.
Self-extraction at home often leads to inflammation and scarring.
Use the right professional skincare products — toner, cleanser, exfoliator, face cream, mask, etc. You don’t need to use everything at once; a professional will recommend the right ones for your skin type.

Acne symptoms cannot be completely prevented, but their severity can be reduced.
The biggest concern is the visible symptoms, which are the most noticeable.
Typical signs include:

- Comedones (blackheads)
- Pimples
- Oily skin
- Scalp issues

Treatment Options

If your skin is blackhead-prone, uneven, and oily:

Cosmetic deep cleansing facial: After a thorough cleansing of the skin, the beautician uses ozone steam and a special device to perform lymphatic facial drainage using small vacuum glass domes.
This softens the skin, detoxifies the connective tissue, and opens the pores.
Next comes the cleansing step, where comedones are removed.
The final step is skin nourishment, during which we apply anti-inflammatory, sebum-regulating, and disinfecting active ingredients in the form of serums and masks.

This treatment removes blocked sebum, reduces inflammation, and helps prevent further complications.
We use Piroche Cosmetiques natural skincare products and bio-aromas, which are exceptionally pure and high-quality.
They do not irritate or redden the skin, and have calming and anti-inflammatory effects, resulting in instantly smooth and radiant skin.
Regular treatments reduce acne symptoms and prevent post-acne marks such as scars, uneven texture, and pigmentation.

Steps of the treatment:

- Peeling
- Facial lymphatic drainage
- Deep cleansing
- Ultrasound infusion
- Mask

If the skin is inflamed, acne-prone, or scarred:

Laser or intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy:
This is highly effective for inflamed, acne-prone skin.
High-performance light therapy devices can significantly reduce acne symptoms — the pimples disappear, inflammation subsides, and the skin becomes smoother and clearer.
The appearance of scars can also be reduced.
A course of 2–5 sessions is typically recommended.

Important note: These treatments cannot be performed in summer due to increased light sensitivity. The best time is autumn and winter.

If the skin has widespread red, inflamed, deep nodular acne:

Medication: In severe cases, a prescription-based medication course (e.g. Roaccutane) is necessary.
These are strong hormonal treatments taken over an extended period.
Symptoms usually worsen initially, but after a few weeks, the skin clears and pimples disappear.
Only under the supervision of a dermatologist!

Tips for Home Care:

- Use LOTIN ACIDE gentle toner (alcohol-free) for cleansing.
- Follow with CREME PURIFIANTE, a cream developed specifically for acne-prone skin.
- For inflammation and symptom relief, apply the FACE CLAY MASK.
